4 to 5 bolt wheels
4 to 5 bolt wheels
Hi Folks,
I'm looking at buying an 82 280ZXT that has the stock 15" Swastika wheels. I'd like to upgrade to a nice set of TSW 5 bolt 16" wheels that were on a Z31.
I don't know the wheel width, but the tires are 225/50/16 and fit perfectly with no over/underhang.
I need help with a few things;
1. Can the Z31 5 bolt hub/ brake assy be adapted to fit the 280 ZXT?
2. If not, is there any other way to get this bolt pattern?
3. If things are a go to this point, will the 280ZX wheel opening accommodate 225/50/16 tires?
4. Will tires this size look great on the car or will they look "bloated"?
Any help/advice/thoughts/comments are appreciated.
If you have any pics with tires this size, or bigger, on a 280ZX, I'd love to see them.
Thanks in advance for putting up with the newbie's long winded post.

no the z31 brake and hub assembly wont bolt up to the 280ZX.. but i think www.modern-motorsports.com had a big break upgrase that will change from a 4 lug to a 5 lug pattern... as far as your wheel size.. yes they will look great... im running 226/ 45 / 17's on my car...
