I've been looking for Ideas on paint jobs for my z. A while ago I came across a black Z with a custom hood scoop down the middle that was supposedly viper black or somthing like that. Thing is I've spent hours looking through the garage trying to find it again and I cant. Any one know if the pic still exsits on the site?

My alternative color would be a dark dark burgandy red. what cha think?

dark grey metallics is where its at. but its my color so stay away other wise were throwing down. i got jack johnson and tom o'leary here ready to fight.

I stay away from black, and any silver or grey Z's. WAY overplayed but they look good. Orange is the best color really. Can't beat that...

i lie your black and dark burgandy ideas. colors i like better that seem to match your dark intent are dark blue and charcoal. and yes, orange is the best

snwy does that men we get to throw down cuz thats the color my car was stock and that i'm gonna paint again... except with a black hood and the tps of the fenders black like the blue and silver scheme only black and silver...

i like my silver car, dirt barely shows up till its really dirty. i have 2001 mustang silver on mine. yellow actaully looks pretty good to. you could always paint it new hondah blue, its a nice color. go to cardomain, look thru all the different s130's, and try and envision your car and how you want it to look.

 

just strip it to bare metal, polish it, and then throw some clear down. BLING!!!!

 

I like orange for a s30 but on a s130 dark blues, red, and as mentioned before dark grey metallics.

black really does suck. it heats up fast in the summer and shows dirt. i have a 03 hyundai tiburon that is quicksilver it hides dirt well and stays cool.

it's for the wife. and the gt isn't that bad. leather seats, infinity sound system, 175 hp v6, and i got it used last year for under 10 grand. and i see in your list that you own a geo. hows that going for ya?

 

man screw that. those downsides won't be any problem for anyone that cares about their car any. keep it in a garage and wax it every time you drive it, and black is an awesome color! i shows the curves the best.

 

you are right black is a good looking color, but i've always heard that it will show any little dent. when i get mine resprayed i do plan on keeping it black.

 

you should get it white!

 

at teh auto show i saw a really nice dark grey. i think it was a lexus color. very metallic

 

black is so high maintenance. believe me i know. every little flaw will show like its foot wide.. if you go black make sure your body is straight as hell, or youll see every ripple and wave on your car.. redish burgandy is a cool looking color but i wouldnt go too dark.. the S130 has some really nice lines and if you go too dark it kind of hides them.. i say add some metalic to it..
