Rear Window Sprayer?
Hey guys, on my '82 coupe at the top of the hatch is a painted over hole with small squared notches on the top and bottom of the hole. I know there is "supposed" to be a sprayer there but mine is gone. I have seen the black rubber hose that comes out of the body and goes into the hatch itself, so that is still there. My nob on the left side of the dash for the rear wiper is still there and I belive it to be fully functional. I know if I pull it the wiper comes on but I can also twist it to the right I belive and it feels spring loaded as it returns on its own...is this to spray the rear window?
On that note, is there a second bottle to fill with washer fluid or does the system share the same bottle? Lastly, where can I get a functioning sprayer for the rear hatch? I have been to four salvage yards in 2 days and can't find ANY that are still on the cars or not broken. I want to keep my rear wiper and I think it would be nice to have the ability to spray it when needed cause I use the rear wiper just about ever time I am in the car. I had a thought and I will run it by you all, the parts store sells sprayers, the ones that mount on the hood and thread from the bottom. Can I use something like this, what I mean is, does the factory sprayer just have the fluid caonnection? I can make my own sealed mounting surface for it if need be. I just want to make sure there are no electrical connections to worry about. Thanks guys...or gals. |

Here's another diagram. (Sorry, I couldn't get them both to upload in the same post).

It's kinda hard to see, but the part number appears to be 28774-M8701. It's pictured as part #12 in the diagram, and called the "Nozzle Assembly - Rear Wiper".
