Rear end treatment
Rear end treatment
Seeing the project car is up to the painting stage, I'm thinking about painting that part of the rear panel between the two tail lights a different colour. Main colour is going to be a dark metallic blue, thinking a light silver between the lights.
The stock ZX rear end tends to look a bit unfinished to me without a S30 type panel insert, I'm thinking a contrasting colour will tie it all together a bit better. Plus a light colour will make the rear end look a bit wider, maybe.
Has anyone done this sort of thing? Pics? Alternative suggestions? Maybe just a silver pinstripe, instead of paint, to outline the area? The car is being built to look like a subtle performance job, big wheels, slotted front air dam, I don't mind the series one tail lights so they will stay.

Thats what I did have in mind with maybe the piece circling the tail light lens in silver too.

It does look good but not as good as on an S30, no offense Wildman. And 260DET, personally I think it would look better painted a satin black and if you carry it all the way around the tail lights.
