My Z is gonna need a paint job soon and I am having a time trying to narrow my color choices down. There's a blue on some Nissan Frontiers that I think is awesome... kind of a dark tiel color, but I can't pinpoint the color on the website. I have even tried some websites that go back a few years on the Nissan cars and cannot locate that color. Also, having not seen a Z this color, I am not sure if this is an acceptable choice.

My color now is black and it looks good (mostly). You can tell where the previous owner had done some touch up on the paint, though. I also like emerald green or a "blood" red crimson kinda color. Again, I have not seen any these particular colors and I am not certain.

Any thoughts or pictures along these lines?

PS. I could go with camoflage with a clear coat and chrome it out to the max!

 

I once saw a 280ZX painted in a dark crimson red with a small metallic flake. It looked AWESOME. I would have my car painted that color but it was a little too flashy for me.

 

my car used to be that dark teal IROC Z28 color back in the early 90s.. heres a pic of how it looked before i painted it 4 years ago...

 

Wow Isaac your Z has sure come a long way. Its looks nothing like it used to.

I personaly think there is no real limit to colours you can explore on your Z as long as they are in line with the classic paints. The 70's and 80's should inspire a great deal for paint choices.

Dont wanna offend anyone but it will be hard to see a ZX painted in the flat tone Baby Blue's, Baby yellow's and baby everything with a splash "Fast and furious" style paint jobs that the Civic's and Acura's we see these days.
