Interior lighting (dimming feature)
 

I have owned a 300zx and now a 280zx and both have a feature that I would like to add to my CRX, the interior lights slowly dimm out after you close the doors. I dont know why but I just cant resist watching those lights go out. Anyone know how to recreate this? I have been searching google for a while and dont come up with much.

I'm not sure what all is involved with the system, but only the 1982-83 280ZX had that. (well, and the 300ZX later on)

The dimmer control module is in the kick panel behind the ECU. (driver's side foot area) Besides that... I'm not sure how to wire up a stand-alone system.

a lot of nissan cars have this feature, but none of the interior lights work on my ZX so i wouldn't know :rolleyes:

Lots of places sell dimmer kits that are easy to wire in and install. I noticed the latest Victoria British catalog had one. I'm sure JC Whitney has it too. Might want to even check some of the BIGGER auto parts chains.
