Interior

Hey this is my first post on here but right now i have a 1981 280zx that needs interior work.....i am on a limited budget but i want this car to look good.....if any one has any ideas hook me up....i need carpet and door panels.....cheap.....

theres a few things you can do to make your interior look better.... if your dash is cracked you can get a dash cap or cover... carpet or hard cap and jsut paint it to what ever you want to.. recover your sets with some seat covers... remember to get something that ill match your interior.. also if you cant afford to recover your door panels or seats you can always pait it with vinyl paint.. you can get that at any auto pait store..

the biggest problem money wise is the carpet.....that is what is really putttin a crunch on my budget...there is a z junkyard near here that i can get the other parts from relativly cheap but the carpeting will be a major set back unless i can find some inexpensive stuff....i cant find it for under $300....any one have any better prices or ideas?

well make sure you dont buy your carpet from MSA... i bought mine from them last year and the rear carpet fadded from the sun... the carpet i got from home deopt lasted longer then that crap i bought from MSA for $275... i think jc whitney might have a carpet kit for the ZX too.. but im not sure.. id check it out..

jc whitney? do they have a website? you will have to forgive me since i am new to the car restoration scene....this is the first car i have ever tried restoring.....this ZX has no interior except for the center console and the dash and i have seats on the way....i was thinking that maybe i could just drop by either my local carpeting store or something and pick up the carpet and cut to fit in the car since i have had no luck relocating a pattern i found on the net....any better ideas?

I Have a site where i got my carpet from it is www.autostyles.com
they have good carpet at low prices. Note that if you are putting it in you self it is a pain in the ass w/ them, cause they screwed up ours and we had to modify it. and for interior parts you can go to www.zcarparts.com they have alot of good stuff too.
