Where do i get a new chrome bumper piece? I couldnt find it in the VB catalog? And maybe i missed in the MSA? But im looking for just the chrome/polished piece under the bumper cover. If anyone has a really clean one...no dents...i will pay for it!

 

i could have sworn i saw that piece on motorsport.com, or i might have just seen it in the catalog...whats the year, and ill find it in the catalog for ya

 

they actually make chrome paint and it actually looks exactly like chrome
so if u have an old bumper but all the crome is messed up go get some quotes at a shop to paint it. Its gonna be expensive tho.
First you have to lay down black and let it fully cure for 10hrs or more and then lay chrome finish then clear. Its not very cost efficient thats why it hasn't caught on yet.

That Piece Is Actually Stainless, They Were On 79,80

 

Those bumpers were on the 81 as well.

 

Personally, I'd just go to pick and pull and find a good 82-83 bumper and swap out the whole thing. I hate my stock bumper... especially that stainless strip. It gets all dinged up and looks nasty. That's why I painted mine. The only reason I haven't swapped out the whole thing is because once I have the body kit mounted, you won't know which bumper it is anyway.
