A/C Compressors?!

A/C Compressors?!

I just bought this 79 280ZX...immaculate condition...40K miles, the only thing wrong: busted A/C Compressor. Have any of you come into this problem, and how do I go about getting a replacement? Thanks a lot!

getting a new one is going to cost you some $$$$$$ you can get one from the junk yard.. jsut make sure you evacuate all the freon from it beforey ou disconect it.. your still going to have to bring it to a shop to get it recharged...

Hmm..I found a few sites offering remanufactured ones..sounds tricky..I dont use A/C at all..I just want to be able to, just in case.

P.S. Nice Z, even though im not a fan of the matched headlights..it looks VERY sharp! Is that a motorsport kit on it as well?

thanks man... i have 2 sets of headlight covers... one painted and one tinted... and yeah thats the MSa body kit...

Thats cool..I'm prolly gonna invest insome, probably clear though. And for body kits, Im more of a purist, even though that looks nice. I want to go neo-retro with the wheels though, some 350Z like rims would looks nice IMO.
