Alarm system
I puttin in an alarm system but i've ran into a problem i don't know what kind of locking system a 82 280zx has does anyone know?
|
You mean like power door locks? Mine if I unlock the driver's door, the passenger will automatically unlock, and the same when I lock the driver's door the passenger side follows. Anyway is that what you are asking?
|
Nah hes talking about automatic door locks, thing is that you need to put a sylinode for each door. so you can have it like the new cars when you just push a button and all the door s open. I believe your just better off just getting an alarm that goes off when the door is opened without disarming the alarm. Thats what my gf has on her cavalier and its pretty good alarm.

I have locks on my door but i'm tryin to hook up the remote door locks from my alarm system and i needed to know if the locking system has a positive output system, negative output system, or a positive, negative pulse signal?

Hey, speaking of auto alarms, my car has one but I don't know how to arm it. It is a CodeAlarm system. I don't know if those are good or not, I just want to know how to arm/disarm it. It has a sticker on the t-tops that says something like "protected by CodeAlarm alarm system" or something like that
|
so the sticker is your alarm system?
I don't think you want to use the alarm unless it has a remote control with it. |
yes the sticker must be the alarm because I can't figure out how to use the alarm if there even is one

im in my 3rd zx 79,80 now an 81 ive had an 89 240 and 84 200 sx turbo all with no power locks. i found that adding power locks to cars that are not aready stocked that way is a just wiring problem from beging to end. im leaving my 81 the way she came off the floor, i find my self not running into all the headaches like i was trying to upgrade. i have a nice stereo and basic alarm, i unlock the doors. gives me a reason look and enjoy her walking around to unlock the passanger side. also reminds me to open the door for the ladies, ha ha.
