79 Quarter glass moldings

Hello,

I'm a newbie to this site looking for some info. / help.
I just got a 79 ZX in the shop today for a complete paint job. During disassembly, noticed that the black rubber / plastic welting that slip fits around the outer edges of the quarter glass moldings is in very poor / non-existent shape. Does anyone here know of anything available to replace this with.

I thought about some of the Prostripe black door edge guard, but is was too thick.

I would greatly appreciate any feedback I can get here.

You can either post responses here, or even email directly to me at
StreetMachineHead@hotmail.com

Anticipating and looking forward to any response and info.
Shannon

this is a pic of ebay...if you mean the edges on the right and left...they are perfect as you can see...

hey Skully,

Thanks for the reply, however the pieces I was speaking of are the outer perimeter moldings....upper and lower for the quarter glasses.

I was hoping someone might know of a Z-car vendor that might sell that black trim on a roll or in bulk so you could cut off what you need.

Thanks again,

Shannon

Is your car a 2-seater or 4-passenger?

Sounds like a 2+2 with the trim around the rear side windows.

So which one is it Shannon? Top car is 2+2. bottom car is 2-seater (coupe)

Or are we still way off on what you're looking for?
