Good idea. Doesn't look very ratty though. Be sure to post the photos when you've got them installed in the 280.

Aluminum radiator and fans

Finally found a radiator that has the in/out in the right places. It's a Griffin sold by Summit. It is slightly to wide for the 240 but fits in between the rails on the '76 perfectly. The fans are too big to fit over the core but will fit nicely in the front off the core support opening in push mode. The thermostat kit came with the fans. I was dreading having to spend $600 for the set up but I got the radiator on Craigslist for $90 new in the box. The fans and kit were on ebay for $58. Both are excellent quality.

Why not? Looks like it could be cool. It's supposed to be a fun car and it's not like you'll be entering it in a Concours event .... do both, go for it.

BTW, when you're driving it, be sure to have a Tom Selleck moustache along with curly hair (a la American Hustle), wear bell bottoms and keep your flowery shirt open to your navel so you can show off your manly chest hair along with the big gold chain around your neck.

Bellbottoms? Who's Tom Selleck? I have a Mustache but I don't dare dress like that LOL. I'm on my 69th lap around the Sun but the first time I side step that clutch I will rocket back in time to when life was easier, I had my first 240Z, and my girl friend was under age.

Amazing work there, Ramz!

Are you available to fly in for a tune up?

I just get inspired by a video that's on my FSM CD from Courtesy Nissan. It's an original TV commercial for a 260Z. The dude driving is SO '70s, permed hair, mustache, shirt, chain, etc. It might be a good gimmick at a car show ...

Doing a little math, that underage GF is likely to be somewhere around her sixtieth lap by now. When you're done with this project, look her up and take her for a ride. She isn't jail bait any more.

I decided to mill the head side of the manifold because it rocked a little bit. I was worried about it cracking or not sealing. I'm glad I did because I had to take off .030 to get it to clean up.

Very nice find! Consider going diagonally with the fans to make them fit? Or you like symmetry? I need to find some fans as well.

They won't fit side by side unless I mount them in front of the core support. These are 12 inch. 10 inch would have been better.

Ahh I see, so 2 10" would be the way to go. You are putting in an amazing amount of fab work into this, cant wait to see it all put together!!

fuel rail brackets

Made some fuel rail brackets. Note the Delrin washers to dampen vibration.

A thing of beauty. Almost as nice as Skully's avatar ... which BTW, does not require Delrin washers.
