What is the 7th cable coming from the center of my distributor? It was just sitting in the engine compartment unattached. Also I noticed a hose coming from and going directly back into the car. The car once had a dealer installed A/C but it was removed when I purchased the vehicle. (I will post this as well when I am able)

That cable in the center of your distributor is for your ignition cable and the hose you speak of, does it come out of the firewall and then back in on the passenger side right besides the block? If it is it is probably the inlet and outlet of your heater hose.

sorry, not ignition cable, the wire to your ignition coil. oops

Gotcha, I will check on the hose tomorrow. I am having issues with my heater and I may need a new core. Blah blah blah, soo much fun working on Z's.

that would be your coil plug wire. your car won't run without one.
