What is this part called?

Hey Folks, it's me again.

I am having another issue with power. I spoke with my mechanic and he stated that a possible reason for this "stuttering" when I hit the gas is the short black tube coming from the air filter in the front of the engine compartment. I have attached a pic of an engine (not mine) the tube is located in the bottom left corner. What is this called so I may find one and fix this issue.

Wait a minute here. If its the air cleaner to air flow meter boot, that would not cause a hesitation. It would merely let unfiltered air come in. If its the boot from the AFM to the throttle body, then it would make a big difference.

Yes, what he said. And no you can't get those boots at an auto parts store. Those are Nissan items only, and I think they are NLA. Many people have problems with those boots getting old, cracked, or not sealing well. That un metered air behind the AFM will cause you to run lean and that's where you get the studder from, mainly in the lower rpms.

Bleech, that is exactly what is happening, stuttering and kind of backfiring in the low rpms. Thanks. I was looking at MSA, but I couldn't find what I needed. Where else can I go or am I just not looking in the right place?
