Weber DCOE or DCOM

Hello
I was wondering what the difference between the DCOE and DCOM carb is. I have read that the DCOM's are superior, is this true and in what way.
Thanks:)

Re: Weber DCOE or DCOM

I have never used the DCOM's, but have used the 40 and 45 DCOE's. I am right now running the 45 DCOE on my car. Have a E31 head on a dished L-28 block and love it. Have the head ported and have a mild cam and header package on it. After 3000 rpm it screams. I have had both the two barrel down drafts and the four barrel carb on cars that I now have in use. They all have thier strong points and weak points. It all has to do with what you need them to do. For high rpm use the DCOE's are great. People have reported problems with tuning. But I haven't had any at this time and I have been running this setup since 1992. Hope someone can answer your question on the DCOM carbs. Good luck.
