voltage regulator ?

voltage regulator ?

hi my name is wallace a friend of mine has a 1977 280z .do they come with voltage regulator,i've searched all around fire wall but nothing.i'm pretty sure it's build in alternator . If any-one has a 1977 or can point me in right direction .THANKS

Yes they do, its under the black metal housing that have the fuseable links bolted to it.

If the charging system is stock, the 77 280Z will have an external voltage regulator. If someone modified the charging system to use an internally regulated alternator, you will likely see some jumpers where the external voltage regulator would connect.
