Vacuum hose sizes-nd to replace
I need to replace vacuum hoses (probably all of them) in my '82 280zx. I did this in a 300 once, but was never sure if there were different grades of vacuum hoses (silicone?). What type should I get? And what size are the smallest ones (that control most of the A/C/heat functions)? The ones I see at PEP boys are not metric, if that matters.

Just look at them and eyeball it. It isn't like a hose has to be extremely presice, it just carries air (or vaccum)

Re: Vacuum hose sizes-nd to replace
I just replaced a my vacuum hoses on my 280ZX NT 83. With the ones at pepboys mine are yellow. they look pretty cool. some fit tight the other fit little loose but I used the plastic tight downs. I bought mine at wal-mart because they have a variety of colors and are for automotive use. can withstand hot temperatures. if I had a picture I would show you. For the fuel and water hoses I used the plastic covers and they also sell them at pep boys. it gave it a nice appearance. no problems so far
