I have a 1973 240z with dual Weber carbs. I wrote a post about my gas mileage last week. I am getting between 12 and 13 MPG. I need to fix this in order for me to keep this car (not much money and gas proces are high). I am going to start with the dual Webers. We have already cleaned them but I am having a hard time tuning them. I went to a local shop and they said that they don't tune them and they don't know anybody that can because cars are so different these days. So, I am going to try it on my own. I am a newbie to working under the hood so wsh me luck. My questio is: Does anyone know where I can learn how to tune the carbs? Websites? videos? books? I would love it there was a web site since they are free. Thanks for your help!

one more thing
I read an add online for these weber dgv that said: "The DGV's are 2 barrel progressive carburetors, which allows you flexibility to tune for performance or economy." I would like to tune it for economy. Thanks for your help.

Motor Sport Auto sells a book on Webers as well as rebuild kits. If your floats aren't closing they will dump gas into the intake.
