Sway bar
Sway bar
What modifications are need to add the rear sway bar to a 70 Z? Have seen the welded brackets on the 280Zs. Does one have to weld/bolt on brackets? If so where do you attach the body mounting brackets?

Re: Sway bar
if your z has the factory tabs in place-but no bar [like my 73], you can use the factory location/tabs and do it yourself without welding-either to a factory size or aftermarket larger bar. you will need to get the hardware [tab and bolt with lock washer] that holds the bar into the locations forward of the lower control arms. you will also use the existing holes in the control arms themselves. i looked at an older 240 in a parts yard and used the hardware from it to upgrade mine.
hope this does the trick, it did for me.
