it stutters when i mash it
 

i just got finished installing a p90a head on my 79. it runs gret and very quiet until i slam the pedal to the floor. it stutters and then gradually gets going. when i ease on the gas it runs great throught the rpm's. but, when i mash the gas it just put puts. whats wrong? is this the fuel pump? any other parts on the engine that could be causing this? i got the plugs gapped and got brand new taylor wires. im pulling my hair out here guys. later

It's not your ports I don't think. I ran P79 with larger exhaust ports than intake ports. and it ran fine. Is it EFI or Carbs?
