I Have a 1978 280Z 2+2, could anyone tell me the bolt pattern and the offset for the wheels, and the biggest wheels i could fit on the car. Thanx

I've seen 17" wheels on Z cars before, but this was usually a wheel with a different offset and bolt pattern than stock so they had to use an adapter. However MSA does sell 16" and 17" wheels with the proper bolt pattern and offset, but the style choices are limited. If want modern style wheels you have to use an adapter. See the Z Driver project 240Z for an example.

2+2s are not ugly

 

I think 16 inch is the largest wheel without sacrifying the ride and handling. 17's looks good though.

 

I run 17 X 7 Tenzo-R wheels. I also have 215/45/17 Toyo Proxies tires. They don't rub, as a matter of fact - the dia. is the same - so no speedo changes are required

The challenge is to keep the weight of the wheel/tire down. select only light rims. The salesmen don't want to give out the wheel weights but if yiou press them you can get it
