First thing you should do is read up on what it entailed in the rebuild. From there decide if it's something you have the resources and time to tackle. Some would say if you have to ask then you cant do it. I disagree. Rebuilding an engine is not rocket science. And while it is tedious with all the little details to pay attention to its by no means difficult. Once you determine it's something you want to do then you'll have to find a good machine shop to take care of any machining you need. Source all your parts like rings and bearings and assorted gaskets and what not and go from there. As long as you have standard hand tools, a torque wrench, various measuring tools and a clean area to work in (or can purchase what you need) then you can get through the process no problem. I'd recommend purchasing a manual like a Haynes so you'll have the procedure in front of you as well as the torque specs you need.

Good luck and welcome to ZDriver.
