Rear suspension clearance issue.

Hi
i would like some feedback not sure if I have a problem or not. I have a 1972 240Z, all original car with 56,700 mi. on it. I noticed this past weekend two things when I go over a bump or a quick dip on the road it seems like it bottoms out and I here a loud noise like something hitting in the rear of the car. So I put it on my lift and checked everything, and everything seems good no marks, exhaust is perfect. Also the second item is that the clearance between the tires and the wheel wells are off aprox a 1/4” off is this normal LH is closer than the RH side any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Dan

It is likely your speedo has been around once. No matter, your rubber bushings are 46 years old and need to be replaced. All the rubber from the top of the shock towers down needs to be replaced including the diff mounts
