Did you leave the doors, hood, and hatch open during a rainstorm??? I'm pretty sure cars don't explode when they get wet... not around here anyway.

As for rust... well... if there is bare metal, it will rust.

no. not the battery, other connections would have to. and its hard for the water to leak down that far and that central. worste case scenario. if the car doesnt start and nothing burns up just disconnect everything, blow out all the connections, leave them unplugged for a bit and put them all back on, try her out. if the ECU gets wet though like mine did, then you could have problems.

You let it rain on your Z? You drive in the mud? wtf? The rain won't wash off the mud underneath the car! I'm coming to your house to take it away from you and give it the loving home it deserves. I'm also bringing my son over to kick your ***!
Just kidding, be nice to your Z!

I was gonna take my 240 for a spin the other night...I stepped out and felt like two drops of rain hit me, and that was it, ride postponed. Neither Z sees rain if I can help it. Thats what the truck is for.

Thats too funny...... it must be nice to live where the average yearly rain fall is an inch or two.

Try living where you get eight inches in a good weekend of rain. I lived in the San Gabriel valley for most of my younger days, so I do remember how nice it is...

Turns out that cars of the future will be able to drive in the rain... it's this new technology they're working on. Something about using plastic and rubber parts that seal tightly together.

Uh, yeah it rains every day up there and that's why you need a Honda or some other beater! Here it rains maybe twice a year!

Buy? I have 4 Zs now. Careful what you say, I drive to Cali fairly often. If you can't find your Z look in Dayton NV. It will be safe and dry in my garage!
