Racing ITS 74 260

I am hoping to someday in the future race my 74 260 in the SCCA ITS division. I will be starting this with little experience in racing or automechanics, just something I have always wanted to do! Does anyone have a good resource for beginning such a project and what modifications are allowed, or not allowed? Thanks!

Thanks Gary, I live near Sears Point so that is hopefully where i will race. Did this form of racing cost you lots of$$$$$$??? I am contemplating Autox as an alternative need for speed fix (as money becomes a consideration). Why did you sell it??

The San Francisco region has a number of fast ITS Z racers including Larry Cooper (Coop) and John Williams. Something to remember: it is ALWAYS cheaper to buy someone else's used race car than to build your own. Donn Vickrey has been trying to sell his very fast ITS 240Z for a couple months. I bet if he's still selling it you can purchase it for 1/3 the cost of building a similar car.
