Pulling Injectors to change rubber seals

Ok gang, got what maybe a slight problem. On my '82 280zx N/A I've got 3 injectors that are leaking, no prob right? Go through the procedure and replace the rubber seals, right? Well, when I started disassembling it I notice that the little black piece that goes around the injectors, the piece that the actual bolts go through to mount them to the manifold is cracked on at least 2 of them. My question is this, has anyone else run into this problem? If so, are those little black pieces something that can be simply bought seperate from the injectors? Also, when removing the little retaining wire from the electrical connectors or "pig tails" the little plastic piece on the pig tail that holds that little wire spring in place broke, now the little wire piece will go back in and seems to hold, but should I just go ahead and purchase the little gp sorenson replacement pigtails and splice them on in place of the old pigtails?

Thanks once again gang.

Yep, I had the same problem. The new injector I got did not
have new "isolators". I visited the local parts yard and acquired
my replacements. Otherwise epoxy them back together if they
are not to badly cracked. If you find a mfg of aftermarket parts
let me know. I think there's a source in Tenn. my local parts
people get stuff from there.

Same problem on my 280z. The injectors were shot and I ended up buying all new ones. I also replaced all the electrical connectors with factory original new ones. No splicing, just cut off the old ones and add new ones. There is a great seal now since the metal clips have something to hold onto. Took me 1/2 an hour and I'm no machanic. There is a place in Richmond CA that I got them from. The "Z Doctor" can be looked up and they ship. They were about 20 $ a piece though but a good investment. Maybe motorsport auto has them, might be cheaper. I bought them before I knew about them. But the z doctor can get you anything. Ask for John or Dave, they're really nice and helpful. Good luck
