just looks like the p.o took off bumpers. 280z(blinkers,vent hoods, efi, etc etc).u can either get a after market airdam or get a bumper. otherwise u get that open mouth fish look.......The car looks great. check over it to make sure their is no rust. dig the rims. look like wannabe of some sort 14s.

it runs strong everything is good with the exception of some bushings that need to be replaced an thers a dent with some rust on the hood other than that no rust at all chassis is straight everything is clean

A great Z, and a great deal (for you, not so much for the seller)! I'd get that hood damage fixed (vents were stock on the 280s, I'd keep 'em), and either finish the bumper removal the PO started, or find and reinstall the bumpers (your choice).
Also get ready to replace the bushings, and do the full urethane kit rather than piece-meal it. It's much easier to do it all at once and be done with it. While the suspension is apart, do whatever upgrade you decide on for springs, etc. And get the pieces powdercoated (cheap) if at all possible.
For suspension changes, I went with urethane bushings, tokico springs, and tokico blue tubes. It installed great, and sits nicely, but I can't say anything about the performance. I'm hoping to finally start the engine for the first time in over 4 years, this Sunday (please keep your fingers crossed for me!).
Might be worth driving it for a month or so to have some time to decide what you want the car to do for you ulitmately (track, DD, restoration, GT/roadtrip car, whatever)?
Anyway, that's just my $0.02. Great purchase, and enjoy your Z!
