overheating
my Z has always had a problem with overheating. I bought another radiator about a year ago from ebay, and then took it to a radiator shop to get flushed, unblocked, and rewelded. My Z is still having problems overheating. I want to get rid of this problem once and for all. I've read somewhere about using a 280Z radiator to cool the Z down a little better, does anyone know about that? I'm looking for a cost effective solution.

hey, can you do me a favor when you get it? can you take measurements of it for me? (LxWxH) I could measure my radiator and see if it'll fit as a bolt in replacement.

sure Ive already got it installed but Ill measure my old one for ya they were exactaly the same

thanks. I know that the 240Z radiators were only 2 row, whereas the later Z radiators were 3 row, making cooling more efficient. Now if only I could get a 3 row radiator, I'd be set.

ok its 27.5 inches wide,,,21 inches tall,, and 3inches thick.

thanks for the dimensions. Did you measure from mounting bracket to bracket, or just the radiator core size? I measured my radiator to the best of my ability, and our dimensions seem to match. I'm now tempted to go to pick n pull and get a 280Z radiator and bolt it into my vehicle (assuming it's a 3 row).
Does anyone know if a fan shroud will stop overheating? |
is it at all possible that your radiator is not the problem?
