Hi guys, My name is Gabriel, I just turned 18 in August and I finally got one of my dream cars as a project car! It all started my sophomore year when I had a Traxxas rustler. I started with that buying, selling, but mostly trading until I had a honda 400ex which I sold a few days ago. I was looking for another bike or atv when I came across a 1977-78 Datsun 280z for $950 ad on Craigslist. When I saw the ad I had to have it. Within 2 hours from seeing the ad I had her home. I haven't worked on cars much except for changing filters, radiators, and other basic parts and maintenance. I'm going to college to be a CNC machinist and get my certification in Solid Works. I took a semester in welding and I also have another welding class to take. This build is going to be a learning stretch for me and it's definitely going to take a while. Now on to the car. My plans for the car are to bring her to her factory look and specs and with the exception of wider wheels and a yellow paint job. I want to keep the stock ride height though. The guy I got the car from said he had it run for a bit to see if it ran. When he did it was on old fuel and it ruptured a fuel line. It has a bad rust patch below the driver door in front of the rear fender and a few holes in the passenger floor. All in all its a solid car but I need help. Any links to diagrams, repairs, manuals, or anything that anything may think would be helpful would be appreciated.

Welcome Gabriel! You'll find lots of information on this forum. Check out all the "sticky" threads. This is a good place: General Tech - Write-ups - How-to's - ZDriver.com

Also for the factory service manual for your particular car, go to this website: XenonZcar.com

Browse around and you'll get all sort of information.
