More Wheel Q's

I guess I am in the same boat as many others, but I am looking for wheels for a 1982 280zxt. I belive the bolt pattern is a 4 @ 100mm and have been told that the offset is 40mm. Anyone know how correct this is? Also is it possible to to find Honda style rims in 16 - 17 in range that have a matching 40mm so as not to use spacers? I am a little skittish about those. Thanks:)

1. you're posting in the wrong forum
2. the bolt pattern you think is wrong (you specified honda bolt pattern)
3. the offset you think is wrong (you specified honda offset)
4. i'm not going to tell you the right answers, because you just have to scroll down to read them. I am sick and tired of typing out most common and typical info for lazy people.

Rick280ZXTB,
The 240 through 280 ZX used a 4 x 114.3 (4.5) bolt pattern . I believe the Zx wheels came with a 10mm offset . You will need some kind of wheel adpators to run Honda style front wheel drive wheels . 4 x 100 's .

I appologize for what seems to be a mojor fopar. I am still figuring out the format of the forum as I am new to this sight. Unfortunately it was met with hostility. Hopefully the 280zx forum can help. As for my misinformation, congratulations, you know more than I do. That is why I was asking for advice. Sorry for anyone's inconvenience.

theres nothing wrong with using spacers... porsche has been using them on thier 911 for years.. i went with the spacers from modern motorsports with the 44mm offset and now i can use any of the newew style rims... youll never find any modern style rims with the origional 0 offset that the 280ZX has.. if you wanna see how 17" rims look on a ZX come check out my car domain page.. click on the link bellow and check it out...
