Mistery Sound...why is my turbo resonating???
 

Hey guys, the turbo on my 83zxt has been making this god awful resonating sound while boosting replacing the whining sound I have grown to love. I already have a replacement but I haven't had the chance to do so because I still have to order an oil line. It's been doing this for a while now but I haven't felt a change in the power and the resonating sound eventually goes away once the car warms up. What could be causing it...could it be the impaler or the fins vibrating in the turbo at boost making the funky whining sound? I don't know what it could be but my causin was joking with me and he said that it almost sounds like Chewbaka when it does it lol. I'm going on a road trip from Las Vegas to San Diego in a week and I think it will be ok because like I said the car has the power and it just makes the sound when cold but I just wanted to see if any one else have ran into to this mistery sound before...let me know.
