Re: Mass Air Flow

Well, 76 isn't mass air so you would have to switch everything to be able to use mass air. And, no I don't think there is any performance replacement for 76

You mean air flow meter? That's what come in 76. First year was 75. It's L-Jetronic no Lamba. Mass air came on 84 on 300zx. I think you got your terms mixed-up.

Re: Mass Air Flow

Yup, it doesn't use a mass air flow meter. A mass air flow doesn't use the flap. That is called a vane air flow meter.

Re: Mass Air Flow

There isn't performance upgrade out there that I know of. But you can do couple thing to make yours better. one is to loosen the coil spring by one or two notch inside to make the AFM(air flow meter) react quicker.( also makes mixture little bit more rich) Secong is to replaces the outside shell with turbo AFM. You wouls have to use the N/A (normal aspiraration) guts to make it work with your 76 ECU. You would need an air fuel ratio gauge to get a proper setting for best result.
