long start time
its around 140 horse i though stock something like that. 180 is the turbo motors stock i believe. and i never saw such plate on my or my dad's car. ill take another peek later today but i have no clue what you'r referring to. can you take a picture?
o ya i can and i will but until i can get the better cam just black and white.
and 180 hp isint the gross hp, automakers stop rating by "gross" prior to 1972
have a look [edit] SAE gross horsepower
Prior to 1972 most American automakers rated their engines in terms of SAE gross horsepower (defined under SAE standards J245 and J1995). Gross hp was measured using a blueprinted test engine running on a stand without accessories, mufflers, or emissions control devices. It therefore reflected a maximum, theoretical value, not the power of an installed engine in a street car. Gross horsepower figures were also subject to considerable adjustment by carmakers: the power ratings of mass-market engines were often exaggerated, while those for the highest-performance muscle car engines were frequently understated.
soooo....
lemem go get that pic.

this is what wikipedia had to say:
L28E
The L28E is the enlarged 2.8 L (2753 cc) engine produced from 1975 through 1984 with dish-top pistons and a resulting compression ratio of 8.3:1. For model year 1981 through model year 1983, the L28E received Flat top pistons and a high quench head, raising the compression ratio to 8.8:1, and thusly increasing the horsepower rating from 135 net (1975 to 1980) to 145 net (1981 to 1983).

ok if u want to believe u have 180 hp go ahead. lets say u have 180. take 25% of that. which is 45. take 45 from 180. u get 135. just saying u DONT have 180 to the wheels. but if u want to prove me wrong go take it to a pull.
ok well i didnt say any ONE was wrong, i said the (((""""""`sheet`"""""""))))) was wrong or nissan was wrong.
btw i didnt have time to jot down it says 170hp at 5600 rpm, unles of course you looked at the pic and saw that.
i didnt put that plate there, i seriously doubt the previous owner was competent enuf to, how did it get there? it also says for the type ghl-s30, aint that right this car is an s-30 body?
so the car has 170 @ 5600 @ the flywhele, but on the ground maybe 135ish.
35hp lost through the drive train.
i can live with this....for now.

your not going to loose that much power through the drivetrain, not even AWD will loose that much. trust us, your car doesnt produce 170hp anywhere, face the facts, it sounds depressing but is your car slow!?!?! noooo.... so whats it matter, hp isnt everything, its teh power to wieght ratio that matter. so dont fret over it. its not so bad. if anything its something to brag about when you beat a 200hp car or something
ok but so im the only one, with this plate on there car ....
wtf
it makes no sence, im not trying to proclaim i have sum miracle engine but can you explane this to me then.
why is that plate there.

i c
so im just gona either junk this rust bucket and look for a zx turbo "can i get that in 2+2?" or fix the rust an d drop in a turbo rebuilt motor eventualy with a standalone and jack the boost to the sky.
so hopefully about this time next year ill have all that secured.
