l28 swap/no power

Check this out, I finally did my L28 swap and for some reason I think my L24 was faster. I put my E31 on top of a 78 block, used my S.U.'s and a N36 intake. I was not able to put the elec. distributor on yet thow cause, we just can't seem to hook it up properly. I can't get any spark from it. Where do I conect the red, and green wire's, and what is the fire order from the 78 dist. Please help I know there is more power I just can't find it.

What turns? There all straight to my Z

Can't help with where the wires go, but I think the firing order is the same on all of the inline 6 motors in the Z car from 70-78. I could be wrong but the distributor should be interchangeable from all 9 years.

Keep the greasy side down.

Re: l28 swap/no power

That I don't know. I had the L28 distributor in my 72 and had no problems with it, but I didn't install it either. My 77 has a MSD in it. So, I haven't had to mess with either one. One thing I do know you can check is the mechanical advance on your dist. See if it advances and returns the way it should. The springs can get worn and if they do you will have nothing but problems keeping the car timed.

Keep the greasy side down.
