L28 flat top pistons in a L26
I'm wondering if the L28 flat top pistons will work in the normal L26 block, i'd rather use my L26 block than change to a L28 at this time, can i just align them like my normal pistons or will they need shaving or anything like that...
thanks, i'll be useing a N42 head, with L26 crank cam etc...

Re: L28 flat top pistons in a L26
L24 pistons are same only flat top. L18 have the same pin height, a 85mm bore and a 4.36cc dish. Also what about a 3.1 liter, people bore L28s to 89mm all the time 3mm over, so 3mm over on a L26 is possible but should checked with sonic testing. Beside L28s are very easy to come by and the money you spend to turn a L26 into a L28 could be used to turn a L28 into a bad *** sreaming little motor or a 3.1 liter.
