just some info

Yesterday, I got my cam back from Web (regrind to the 94a profile). Hooray! That was the last piece holding up the next bunch of motor reassembly. Turnaround time was almost exactly 5 weeks. The bill from Web was about $170, and it probably cost me about $20 to ship it from Colorado to them in Riverside, California. They did beautiful work. Delta has already returned my rocker arms to me, reconditioned, total with roundtrip shipping was less than $50.

I also shipped my bumpers (heavy stock '78s) to Walker's Custom Chrome in Shasta Lake, CA, yesterday, for replating. $70 to have them boxed and shipped. Turned out FedEx ground was the cheapest. We'll see what final plating and return shipping cost will be, but judging from the experiences of a couple of restoration shops around here, I'll be money ahead and have much better results using Walker's.

If progress keeps up, I might have something worth posting a picture of sometime in June...

cheers,
Dave

Awesome! Sounds like things are going smooth and cheap. Congrats, post pics when you get her together.
