Where do you all get your parts from? Any catalogs available? Zcarsource has some parts but limited. The Zstore also and they have a catalog but I guess it's on backorder. I will need suspension, steering, interior, some emblems, all rubber seals, U-joints, etc. Thanks....

Also, you can still get many parts from your local Nissan dealer if you have the part number. You can find part numbers at Parts information for your classic car | CarPartsManual.com. Be aware that many parts are no longer available, but it doesn't hurt to try.

That's quite a list of vendors. Any of you have favorites? When I was restoring a 1969 Triumph TR6 I found 3 or 4 vendors you could get almost any part from for a fair price and good quality. Along with good service and return policies. Looking for the same here. But I will save this list in my favorites. Thanks very much!

That list is 9 years old. Some of those vendors are no longer in business, such as Z Barn. As for favorite vendors, that depends upon needs and budget.

Just looking for a couple vendors that have fair prices and a good selection of parts. I received a catalog from BlackDragonAuto.com but they are pretty light on parts available. Prices seem fair though. Also see zcarsource.com but they don't have a catalog. Hate ordering parts on-line as I like to call using a catalog.

Kind of my first go-to online store is MotorsportsAuto (MSA) whose web site is "thezstore.com". If you're a member of a Z club, register with MSA on their site, be sure to mention your membership and prices drop 10% for most everything. Their phone support folks are pretty knowledgeable too. The site is well-organized and I even use it to browse. I often discover parts I didn't know I was missing.

As you search you will learn who is expensive (but has hard-to-find parts), who is flakey (none of those I've listed in my experience) and who has the best prices.

Well, I am finding Ebay to be a good place to find parts but seems most want a premium. I have had good luck so far with facebook groups selling used parts for a very fair price. It's a little disappointing at what the vendors are charging for new and used parts. The markup is pretty hefty. I guess they get what they want since some parts are not being reproduced. Too bad as there are a ton of Z cars out there.

Find a Nissan part on eBay. Most will have a partial part number.
Go to Parts information for your classic car | CarPartsManual.com and find the full part number.
Order the part from your local dealer or from Courtesy Nissan or Nissanparts.cc
Save money.

Many used parts are expensive because they are made of unobtanium. Many of the places that sold used parts, such as Z Barn and Danny's Datsuns, are no longer in business.

I tried that and it does work. If I can get the part number I can google it and some dealer sites come up with new cheaper parts than the vendors that specialize in 280 parts. Obsolete will still be used hit and miss. Also trying to find dealers who will give discounts to clubs and forums.
