individual throttle bodies

Any body ever used individual throttle bodies with forced induction?? If so whats the deal with them besides looking so baddass??

I know the gtir sr20det uses indy t/b and I think the rb26dett does as well, I think it may be benificial becaues it would help equalize the ammount and velocity of the air coming into the chamber... but Im not sure thats really a guess
