Re: i need help

You shouldn't have to make any as long as the offset is correct, 225 tires will fit on a 240 I know I did it without any modifications. However when I went to 17' I needed to use adaptors to correct for the offset.
The question for you is have you had the wheels and tires on the car already, and if so what size tire?

Re: i need help

I don't know how much of a help this is, but I have a '71 with bone stock suspension... I have 225/55R16 in the rear, with absolutely no problems. In the front, I have 205/60R16, and the right front tire rubs against the fender so much that it bends it in.. but I can easily bend it back out. I knew when I got these tires out of the junk pile at work that they were too tall, but the rear is ok.

Next month I will get a new set, and I will go with one of these sets:

205/50R16 FT and 225/50R16 R
OR
205/55R16 FT and 225/55R16 R

I think I will go with the 1st one, being that I like lower..

205/55R16 and 225/50R16 are the same height, and would work either way, although I'm pretty sure that the 225/50R16 will rub in the front. I'm considering 205/55R16 all around, but i really like the wider/taller in the back, and shorter/skinnier in the front...

I have front wheel drive offset rims on with spacers, 16x7... BTW.. not panasports...
