Hi Z-Freaks
Just wanted to say Hi and inform everyone that I will be one of the moderators of the new Drag Racing Forum. This also gives me an opportunity to introduce myself, test my sig and profile.
For those who do not know me, I am in Orlando, FL and this is my 3rd Z-car. The first 2 were a 73 240Z with a 350SBC using the infamous Scarab kit and a 75 280Z with a 350SBC using the JTR kit. My current Z is one that was rescued from a junkyard almost 22yrs ago and was built up by me for a close friend. I got it from him in '99. At that time it had 2.8 N/A with triple Mikunis, but I swapped in an L28T. My original intention was to use the car for autocrossing and drivers schools. As I upgraded the power I would go to the drag strip to monitor the progress. Believe me, There is no better (or fun) way to check on how you are progressing. The car did better than expected and it was not long before I started focusing on going quicker at the drag strip.
I was having so much fun, I completely switched my focus and started dreaming of a 10-sec street-driven Z-car that did not break the bank. My Z in its current form is now powered by a Buick Grand National drivetrain and is working its way towards that goal. To date, the best is 11.50 @ 120.5 with some problems, so I feel confident the goal can be reached.
Looking forwarding to exchanging ideas and good luck to all in their racing ventures.

Re: Hi Z-Freaks
Felt sorry for you no reply thats all, How are the tracks in orlando? ever get any street racing goin on down there. Its big as heck over here in Cali. There some really good drivers out here. Some of these guys are just wasting there talent on the street. Might as well do your hobby ( or obsession) and get paid for it right!
