Help with this front end?!

Hello fellow Z Drivers! Im brand new to this forum(not to Z's) and would really appreciate some help.

Im about to pick up this 74 Datsun 260z on Sunday BUT, I want to know what this god awful front end is and how hard it would be to get off, mostly what it would take to restore it back to normal and somewhat stock.

I saw that z on CL a while back.. if i remember right it said that it was steel reinforced with a **** load of bondo over it and shape to emulate some other older European car i think.. any thing is possible u can take the time to change it back im sure itll take a lot of wrk. Might as well replace the fenders and just hack the rest off.. good luck.. would like to see pics of the tear down..

Yikes. That's a terribly ugly front end.. looks like it is attached to the fenders so you'll have to replace those and the front air dam/bumper. Unfortunate :\

You need to open the hood and make sure they didn't hack the radiator support and anything else structurally. You will need new hood, headlight buckets, fenders, front valance, hood spring, bumper, and more. You should source parts and see how much $$$ you will have just in those alone, then see if it's still a good deal or not.

Looks like he was trying to make it look like a Datsun 2000 Roadster. Hopefully you're not paying much for it.
