Hello? 13's? 280ZT

I figured I'd share this here. I went G teching the car the other day. I'm starting to get a handle on launching the car with my new set up.
Z31T transplanted into a 1978 280Z. stock motor with only a throttle body, custom exhaust and intake K&N and a boost controler, no I/C yet. 3.54 open diff and large street tires.
I ran consistent 14.2's @ 102.9mph That is with zero wheelspin...and very easy launches..(some launches unfortunately I still bog it ) But it sure is faster than spinning the tires uncontroleably. It won't take long to get better now.
I'm still stunned at the difference of the car..it drives very differently..launches differently..corners differently too...the sound alone is very shocking..the car doesn't sound like it is working hard..much much quieter.
With a more aggressive launch I'm positive I will blast into the 13's...a lsd diff I think will make my job much easier as frying tires is easy..even with my 245's!

Thanks all for your help and support!
Scott.

102.9mph is a great considering you are probably running low boost with no I/C. The difference between say 7psi w/o an I/C and 14psi with an I/C is staggering. The car is already a 13-sec car if you could improve the 60'. Whatever improvement you make on the 60' time, expect 1.5x improvement on the 1/4-mile ET. I guessed at the weight of the car w/driver to be about 2850lbs and that puts you at about 233RWHP. With a good I/C, and the fuel to support it, you should see another 50RWHP with another 5-6psi boost. That should get you down to about 13.0s. That is when you lose your mind and start thinking bigger turbo, 12s, 120mph, etc, etc
