Headlight Relay?
A couple years ago i was driving at night and when i flipped off my brights my headlights went out. I messed with the switch for a while and they finally came back on so i could get home. the headlight switch was broke so i bought a new one thinking that was the problem. Now i am having the same problems...my dims dont work but my brights do. the other day when this first happened again i turned my lights on and the headlights didnt come on right away, after a minute or two they came on. then the same night they wouldnt come on again. then the next day they didnt come on right away either. the thing is that my brights still work its the dims that dont. is there a headlight relay that could be diong this? if there is, where is it located on my car. its a 77 280z
thanks,
Sean

Sean:
There is no headlight relay on the '77Z. Sometimes the connections on the fusible links get corroded and lights don't work, but you high beams work so problem may be in your dimmer switch. I'd check that out.
There are headlight relay kits available which reputedly make a big difference in brighness of headlights.
