Headlamp replacement on '75 280
I recently bought a second Z, a '75 280, and I'm having some trouble figuring out how to get at the headlamps to replace them. On my '79 I can just access them under the hood - but no such luck w/ the '75. The Haynes manual I have hasn't helped any, and it seems as thought the only accessible screws are right in front on the outside, and appear to be for adjustment but not removal. Any advice would be greatly appreciated...Thanks!

You have to remove the plastic inner fender. There are about 10, 10mm head bolts that hold it in. And it always seems at least one is seized. Its much easier to do if the front wheels are off. You can try and remove a few bolts and peel the fender back to get you hand in there, but that's almost just as difficult. It is amazing how much effort has to go into just changing the headlights!
