Is the head still good?
 

My engine locked up a few months ago when the oil pump went out. Do you guys think the head is still good? If so I am going to start some machine work on it while I save the $$$ to buy a block or build a stroker.

Hmm good question. I think you should start by dissasembling the head. Most likely the head is alright unless the cam bearing surfaces or the valve guides got trashed. I think they can replace guides though. Take it to a machine shop and ask them. They can tell you. I could tell you if i could see the head but i cant :(
