Swap 280Z seats for ??
#2
I put 350Z seats into a 280ZX (not 280Z). They were a bit too deep at the base of the seat. The hinge is very thick and large diameter down there and sets against the rear 'frame' of the car before the seat is moved back all the way. If you are under 6 feet in height then it may be just right for you. I think they may fit better in a 2+2 model but will take up what little foot room there was for passengers.
A seat with a thin design like the Honda CRX is a better fit in my opinion.
also the 350Z floor is not flat so the rails are at different heights. I had to remove all the 350Z stuff, weld on a small square frame, and then bolt the 280ZX seat rails to the new frame. It was a lot more work than I had expected and I had to take it somewhere to get the welding done.
