Electronic Fuel Injection questions
Where is the fuel injection Relay on a 1975 280z and what does it look like? if anyone knows where the interlock relay is and what it looks like i would appriciate the input as well. My chilton manual doesn't tell me where those componets are.
Thanks for the help.

FI info
Hi, the EFI relay is located on the dirvers side under the dash and it looks like a little silver box about 3"x1" with two sets of wirs connected to it. As to the interlock I don't really remember exactlly where it is but I think it is under the passenger seat. If this is not so get back up with me and I will try to find my Factory manual. Hope this helps.

Black box
Under my dash there is a black box and it is has the same other characteristics you have explained, is it the same. New news: there are two boxes under the seat, one I believe is the floor temp relay. I assume (by your info) that the other box is the saftey interlock. Only problem is that there is three wires on a connector which goes into the unit which has four wires into a connector. I hope you can understand what I am talking about. Sorry for the essay this is my first car and I am 19 and I have never had the freedoms of driving my own car. Luckily it is a good one, a 1975 280Z.
Thanks alot,
Randy

Well as I don't know your production date it seems you have an early 1975 Z which was the first year for fuel injection and I have seen a few come through with Bosch CPU's and relays which is probably what you have so yes it could be the EFI reay. Before I go any farther could you tell me WHY you want to know where these relays are? What problem are you experienceing? Mike

No power to EFI Units
Hello,
The manufacture Date on my Z is "10/75" and the black box does read BOSH. My 280Z is not getting any power to the fuel pump or any fuel injectors. Although it cranks and sparks with an external start button. The reason why I cannot find anything is the chilton manual that we have is not very good because none of the wires on the car match match the diagrams in the book. There are devices in the car under the passenger side dash which look alike. They almost look like the one under the seat as well. I was wondering if your manual had precise info like where these devices are and how to test them. Oh yeah, a good wiring diagram. You know what you are talking about , mike I have had people on the net tell me to replace the ignition switch, ha ha. Thanks alot. If you can dig up some info , because I am limited on data, or good data, I would appriciate it.
Thanks alot,
Randy
