If my car and lights are off should I be getting a 12v reading from the points on o of my combo switch? I've been thinking the switch was bad for a while due to dim headlights (I checked the lamps and lots of the wires Nd they seem fine) is my only solution a new switch?

 

The white/red wire carries voltage to the combo switch. Good luck on finding a new switch if you need it. It can be rebuilt, though.
