i just had some guy tell me that my datsun was slow... then he said that 4 banger could not touch is civic lx coup.. he said that my datsun was front wheel drive. and that his civic was converted to rear wheel. and i told him he was a dumbass. he said that Z's only came in automatic.... some people i just want to strangle.

nah this was one of my female friends litttle brother. says hes a mechanic. he sent me a message on myspace. wat started it was he said my 77 is not a datsun they were never datsun its a nissan. i said and thats why i have satsun badging on it. argh

Well, the 77Z is actually a Nissan rebadged under the Datsun name for the US market. Regardless though it is a Datsun.
Front wheel drive...Ummm yeah no comment...
All Zs are automatic...Man, gues I should quit pushing that clutch in and moving the shifter around...What retarded thing to say.

I don't think they officially became Nissan until when the Z31s came out in '84? I do remember my '81 280ZX did have badges on it that said 'Datsun by Nissan' though.

the 80 maxima had nissan and datsun badging. and tell him to look under the car to see if its front or rear wheel drive.... i wish red was around so he could stick his boot up that kids *** and call him a dumbass!!!

I think the 84' 300ZX was the last car to get a Datsun badge. Every year after that only had the Nissan badge. That's generally how I can figure out if it's an 84 or 85 300ZX.

i'd love to show up in my z32 and challenge him in my FWD 4cyl auto 300zx, then i would proceed to light the tires up, cover the car in smoke, then race him for pinks, take his little civic and crush it, get it on video and hack his myspace and put the video as his background...
