Clutch
I have a 1980 280zx and the clutch just went out on it. I am wondering if I should put a double friction clutch in it for $260 or a stage 5 for $560? Is the stage five worth the extra $300?Should I just go with the double friction? Please let me know on this. If you know of any where that I can get it cheaper please let me know thanks

Re: Clutch
whats the stage 5 clutch...
i see it as if u don't have the power for the heavy duty clutch, then u don't need it... 76 260z The NiteRider |
Re: Clutch
From what I've read about clutches it doesn't matter how tuff it is it can be broken it depends on the driver. If you've got a stock Z don't waste your money on bigger better clutches till you need it. Sure it sounds good to say "Hey I've got a stage 5 clutch" but if you don't need it don't buy it.
I've read about tripple plate clutches being destroyed because of the way a driver has treated it. Not trying to diss ya just trying to save you money $$$ money is your friend :-). Anyway your call, Gavin, Melbourne Australia 73' Datsun 240z |
Re: Clutch
